Levi, Jillian, Mickey & Brooke

What is going on with the crazy weather? Hot, cold...rain, sunshine...heater, A/C...Ugh. The poor trees are just as confused as we are. This shoot started off in Oak Glen. This is the first time since the beginning of the year since I had been up there. The trees were so empty. No buds or flowering. It was so sad. We did find some great spots regardless, but it broke my heart to see it so empty. We then headed to good ol'Riverside to embrace all the great spots we love about it. This also was the second shoot where we (knowingly) shared the area with a snake. Ugh...still freaks me out! Well all four of these kids blessed my day. All graduating from Woodcrest Class of 2012. I am sure the Lord has great plans for all of them!

Welcome Chandler

Words can not express the gratitude and thankfulness of the experience of witnessing a birth of a child. Lavay is a dear friend of mine, and a very talented photographer. Check her out @ lavaysphoto.com. Lavay knew the desire I had to witness and photograph the birth of the baby, I was so excited when she was willing to give me the opportunity. The hospital staff was so wonderful and just were so sweet yet gave me strict guidlines to follow. God was so good to us all and blessed the whole day, and most of all blessed Lavay and her husband Steve with a healthy baby boy that they have been waiting a long time for. It has been a few days since the birth and I still keep crying about it. Taking the pictures, I was crying enough to keep fogging up the view finder. Half the time I could not even see what was going on. But that moment when they handed her Chandler, was a moment I will never forget. My heart wanted to explode for her. Here are a few of the sweet memories I will cherish forever.

“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.” Jeremiah 1:5
